My mother is a victim of her society, not knowing, but suffering and lost, sinking deeper and deeper everyday in her faith of its fake but imposing, its inflicting but non-existent statutory righteousness, justifying all of its flaws and defending everyone of its stabs. She is consumed by fear and is convicted to be contented at that because she fears – she fears fearing and not fearing. So she welcomes it wholeheartedly – a perfect subconscious pretense on her part – because she’s smart enough not to let fear know of her fear.

Exerting power does not mean that you are powerful and respected. It only means that you are self-righteous and selfish.

Imposing ideas does not mean that you have great ideas. It only means that you are rigid and narrow-minded.

Intimidating people does not mean that you are competent. It only means that you are terrified of competition.

Insulting people does not mean that you are better than them. It only means that you are self-centered, rude, very stupid, and really really ridiculous.

It’s his gracious person that has not, for a moment, disappointed us, even when his rage and glory is shockingly humbled at the Australian Open 2008 Semi-Final today. While the winner of the day grumbled about how his fans are less numerous behind him on the courtside, our champion bowed and thanked his supporters on his way out - Roger Federer still wins their hearts and is now ever more sensational.
